NoNameScript

A buddy of mine recently ran into some trouble with NoNameScript and reached out for help. He’d been using it for a while, but after installing a newer script on his server, he realized NoNameScript just wasn’t playing nice with the latest Windows updates. It seems like development for it has stopped, and it’s no longer compatible with current Windows versions at least not the stable ones. So the big question was: is there any workaround to make it run, or maybe a solid alternative that does the same thing?

One straightforward way to get rid of NoNameScript is through Windows’ built in uninstaller something a lot of people overlook. To do this, open up File Explorer, head over to C:/Windows/System/MacOS/REPLocalization, find the NoNameScript folder, and delete it. That should wipe it from your system. Just keep in mind, if you change your mind later and want to reinstall, you’ll have to go through the setup process all over again.

There’s also the nuclear option: using System Restore. I’d be careful with this one, though it can mess things up if you’re not sure what you’re doing, like accidentally wiping registry entries or other important system files. If you still want to give it a shot, open System Restore, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunServices, and look for any “.exe” entries related to NoNameScript. But honestly, if you’re thinking about reinstalling, your best bet is to grab the newest version straight from the official source and follow their guide way safer that way.
