Low Oxygen

Ever dreamt of being stranded on an alien world with nothing but your wits to survive? That’s exactly the vibe you get with Low Oxygen, a clever and atmospheric puzzle platformer cooked up by indie developer Alex Stefan Neagu. Picture this: you’re an astronaut whose ship goes down on a mysterious, unfamiliar planet. Your mission? Find a way off this rock and make it back to Earth. But it’s not going to be easy.

You’ll explore a sprawling alien facility made up of 50 unique rooms, each packed with mind bending puzzles and most importantly precious fuel canisters. These little gems are your ticket home, so keep your eyes peeled. But here’s the twist: the real star of the show is the planet’s bizarre plant life. These alien flora thrive in low oxygen environments. The less air around, the bigger and weirder they grow. Learning how to manipulate these plants depriving them of oxygen or using them as platforms is key to progressing through the game. It’s a fresh, smart mechanic that keeps you on your toes.

What’s really cool is that Low Oxygen isn’t some big budget blockbuster it’s a passion project, and it shows in all the right ways. The developer isn’t stopping here, either. Plans are in the works for a level editor and Steam Workshop integration, meaning the community will eventually get to design and share their own devious chambers. Oh, and if you’re a controller fan, you’re in luck full support is already there.

All in all, Low Oxygen is one of those hidden gems that hooks you with its originality and charm. It’s challenging, it’s immersive, and it’s got that “just one more room” appeal. If you give it a shot, don’t forget to drop a review the dev’s actually reading them!
