If you're juggling multiple remote desktop connections, Remote Desktop Connection Manager (RDCMan) is a lifesaver. It’s especially handy for IT pros managing server labs, data centers, or large scale server farms where you need to hop between machines regularly think automated check ins, maintenance, or troubleshooting. While it does a similar job to the built in MMC Remote Desktops tool, RDCMan offers way more flexibility and power, making it a go to for many sysadmins.


The RDCMan 2.7 release packed in some major upgrades. You get support for connecting directly to virtual machine consoles super useful for Hyper V environments. There are also smart groups to organize your servers logically, plus beefed up security with certificate based credential encryption.
