Mumble is a free, open-source voice chat application designed for group communication. Although versatile enough for various activities, Mumble is primarily tailored for gaming communities. The Mumble package includes two components: the client, known as Mumble, and the server, called Murmur. Its exceptional audio quality is largely due to Speex, a high-performance voice codec and DSP library that supports echo cancellation and noise reduction.
