Build Slick Installers with WiX Toolset

So, WiX Toolset (yep, that's windows Installer XML Toolset for the acronym nerds) is this powerhouse open source kit cooked up by Rob Mensching. Basically, it gives devs a toolbox for whipping up windows Installer packages think MSI and MSM files using good ol' XML. There are seven main tools you'll end up messing with: Candle, Light, Lit, Dark, Heat, Pyro, and Burn. Each one does its own thing in the wild world of installer building.

Honestly, Burn's kind of the MVP here. It lets you jam all those must have dependencies and prerequisites into one handy executable. No more chasing missing components mid install. Super clutch if your app's picky and needs some extra stuff to run.

Long story short, if you're rolling out software for windows, WiX Toolset is pretty much a must have. It makes dealing with all that installer nonsense way less painful.
