What really makes playing as the Drukhari feel different are their special game mechanics. The Power from Pain system is a game changer your units actually get stronger as they inflict more damage and cause more suffering on the battlefield. It’s a brilliant way to reward aggressive, hit and run tactics. Then there are the Corsair Outposts, which let you set up sneaky forward bases to control territory and harass your enemies from unexpected angles. And with the Raid from the Webway ability, you can pop units in and out of combat almost at will, making the Drukhari incredibly hard to pin down and a nightmare for slower, more traditional armies.

You get access to a fantastic roster of units that really bring the faction to life. You can lead with cunning Archons, master the grotesque creations of the Haemonculi, or tear across the battlefield on sleek Reaver jetbikes. It’s a blast to experiment with all the different ways you can cause chaos. That said, it’s not all perfect. Some players have noticed that a few of the units can feel a bit fragile, lacking the staying power to survive a prolonged fight if you get caught out of position. It’s a small balance issue that means you really have to lean into their strengths speed and deception to come out on top.
