VS . KAPI - Friday Night Funkin Mod

If you're a fan of Friday Night Funkin' and looking for a fresh, rhythm packed challenge, the VS. Kapi mod might be just what you need. Developed by PaperKitty, this totally free mod brings a cool arcade vibe to the classic FNF experience. It's open source, Windows only for now, and built for players who love a good challenge since it only comes with a Hard difficulty mode. Yeah, no easy way out here!

You play as Boyfriend, trying to win over Girlfriend by beating rivals in dance battles. This time, the story takes place in an arcade, where you face off against Kapi, a rhythm loving cat who gets jealous real quick. There’s also a surprise opponent Mr. Game & Watch who you can challenge if you stumble upon a handheld console near a trashcan. How cool is that?

The mod adds six brand new songs, including tracks like Wocky, Beethoven Virus Remix, Hairball, Nyaw, and Fuzzy Distortion. When you go up against Mr. Game & Watch, you even get an extra song called Flatzone. Kapi doesn’t sing instead, he hits notes on a DDR pad, which gives the battles a unique feel.

Gameplay stays true to the FNF style: use your WASD or arrow keys to match the on screen arrows to the beat. A progress bar at the bottom tells you how you're doing green means you're winning, red means you're close to failing. It’s all about timing and coordination!
