Looking for a free, automated way to clean up and optimize your Windows PC? Tron might be just what you need. Developed by Vocatus, this handy utility is designed for Windows 7 through Windows 10 and works by running a series of batch scripts that handle everything from removing junk files to disinfecting malware. It’s completely free and doesn’t require constant supervision just set it and (almost) forget it.

Before firing up Tron, it’s a good idea to reboot your computer to make sure any pending updates are fully installed. Skipping this step could cause issues if your system restarts while Tron is running, you risk damaging your OS. You can run the tool via command line if you prefer, and all command switches are optional. While there are other cleaners out there like Clean Master or Baidu PC Faster, Tron stands out for its depth and automation.

Here’s how to use it:

First, download Tron and place both tron.bat and the resources folder on your desktop. Right click the file and choose “Run as administrator” you can do this in either normal or safe mode. Once it starts, be patient: the process can take anywhere from 3 to 10 hours depending on your system. When it hits the “Disinfect” stage, a Malwarebytes window will pop up just hit “Start” and let it do its thing. After everything’s finished, reboot your PC before you use it again.

Tron works through several stages: it preps your system, cleans temp files, removes bloatware, disinfects malware, applies repairs and patches, and wraps up by generating logs that show what changed. There’s even an optional stage where you can run your own custom scripts if you’re feeling adventurous.

When Tron finishes, it gives you an exit code so you know how things went. Code 0 means success, 1 is an error, 2 is a warning, and so on handy for troubleshooting.
