This PC game throws you into the shoes of Popcap, an orphan driven by revenge, who finds himself tangled in a magical feud with a powerful wizard. You’ll collect coins, unlock bonus stages, and choose from a wild array of power ups like deadly potions, magic talismans, hocus pocus wands, and my personal favorite the fire element talismans. The goal? Smash all the tiles in each level to move forward. It sounds simple, but with 80 levels in normal mode and a competitive high score tower climb, things get intense fast.

You can also shop for upgrades at in game stores, which adds a nice layer of strategy. Do you save up for that epic fire talisman, or go for something more versatile? Every talisman has its own unique ability, so you’ve gotta think on your feet.

But Talismania isn’t just about gameplay it’s a whole experience. The Deluxe version, available as a free trial, features an intuitive point and click interface and a gorgeous picture gallery to flaunt your achievements. The art and music are another highlight, with contributions from Ciro Marchetti and Mario Brodin. There are eight volumes of story content, concept art, background music, and even short films woven into the game.
