Super Motocross

So, you're looking to get Super Motocross off your computer? You're not alone. This arcade style motocross game gained a bit of a cult following after it was first released by MyPlayCity, a Polish online game portal. It was free to download on a bunch of sites, but here’s the catch: the official PC version isn’t supported anymore. That means if you’ve got it installed, you might run into some headaches trying to remove it completely.

One of the big issues with Super Motocross is how it was built using the MS CRT programming language. That might not mean much to most of us, but what it translates to is compatibility problems, especially on newer systems. If you’re running anything later than Windows XP, the game might not even launch, let alone uninstall smoothly. And if you try to remove it without unpacking its files first? Good luck. In most cases, it just won’t budge.

Before you dive into uninstalling, do yourself a favor and back up your system. I know, it sounds like a hassle, but trust me, it’s worth it. Also, if you still have the original CD or DVD, hang onto it. If things go sideways during the uninstall, having that disc could save you. Some users have had success by making a copy of the game disc and burning it to a blank DVD old school, but it works. Once you’ve got that safety net, you can proceed with more confidence to remove Super Motocross for good.
