Instead, Nexon decided to focus on bringing the Korean version of the original game to other markets later that year.

While the original Sudden Attack is sunsetting in the West, its successor is very much alive and kicking. In fact, Sudden Attack II has already smashed records in Korea, selling over five million copies. To build even more momentum, Nexon offered an extended free download period for the original game a clever tactic to pull both nostalgic veterans and curious newcomers toward the sequel. This free access will last until Sudden Attack II climbs to the number three spot on global charts. Once it hits that mark, North American players will have to pay up to get in on the action.
