Street Slayers
If you're into games that mix high speed racing with explosive combat, you might want to take a look at Street Slayers. This indie title, developed by KaKi, is currently in its free to play beta phase, and it throws players into chaotic multiplayer sessions where the goal is simple: race through urban streets while blasting enemy cars to bits. It’s fast, it’s frenetic, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously making it a fun, casual experience for those who enjoy arcade style action.
That said, Street Slayers isn’t without its rough edges. The visuals feel a bit dated, almost like something from the early 2010s, and the handling of the cars can be frustratingly slippery. It often feels like you're drifting on ice rather than gripping asphalt, which can lead to some unintentional crashes and missed shots. On top of that, the game is pretty light on content right now there’s only one core game mode, so don’t expect variety. You’ll be doing the same thing match after match, which might get old after a while.
Still, there are some bright spots. The maps are designed with plenty of twists, shortcuts, and obstacles that keep you on your toes, and power ups like shields and health pickups add a layer of strategy to the chaos. It’s clear the developers put thought into making the moment to moment gameplay engaging, even if the overall package feels a little barebones.
So, should you try Street Slayers? If you’re cool with a no frills, run and gun racer that’s still finding its footing, then absolutely. It’s free, it’s fast, and it’s got personality just don’t go in expecting a polished, content rich experience yet.
