Stray

Ever imagined seeing the world through the whiskers of a curious cat? That’s exactly what Stray, the upcoming adventure from Blue Twelve Studio and published by Annapurna Interactive, promises to deliver. First teased back in 2015, this game has been quietly simmering and the recent trailer has finally given us a glimpse into its mysterious, neon soaked world.

You step into the paws of a lone stray cat, separated from its family and lost in a vast, cyberpunk city that feels both alive and eerily empty. The visuals are stunning, dripping with neon glow and rainy alleyways that might remind you of Cyberpunk 2077, but with one big twist: you’re not a human mercenary, you’re a cat. And this isn’t a guns blazing action game. It’s a slow burn mystery where exploration is your greatest tool.

The atmosphere is moody and immersive. You’ll navigate narrow ledges, dusty corridors, and neon lit rooftops all seen from a cat’s eye view. There are no humans around, just robots going about their daily routines and other animals trying to survive. Your only friend is a small drone named B12, who helps you communicate and uncover the secrets of this strange world.

But don’t let the cute protagonist fool you this city has dangers. Some droids aren’t friendly, and the environment itself can be hostile. Graffiti on the walls hints at a fallen human civilization, with messages like “RIP humans” adding to the post apocalyptic vibe. It’s a world built on mystery, and it’s up to you to piece it together.

Stray is set to launch in 2021 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Will it come to older consoles? The developers are keeping quiet for now. But one thing’s clear: with its unique premise, emotional storytelling, and breathtaking art direction, Stray is shaping up to be something special way more than your average adventure game.
