SSD-LED

Ever wished you could actually see your SSD working? SSD LED makes that possible – it's a completely free Windows utility developed by SIRprise that gives you a real time visual on your solid state drive's activity. Think of it like a heartbeat monitor, but for your storage drive. Every time your SSD reads or writes data, SSD LED lets you know what's going on under the hood.

The software landed on Softonic back in January 2020 and works on Windows 10 and up. It may not be the newest kid on the block, but for something this straightforward, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The interface is in English only, but since it’s mostly visual, you won’t need to be a language expert to use it. We haven’t run our own tests yet, but user feedback on the Softonic page suggests it’s a handy little tool for keeping an eye on drive health.

Why would you want something like this? Well, if your computer suddenly feels sluggish or you’re just curious about which apps are hogging your SSD, SSD LED can help you spot unusual activity. It won’t replace full blown diagnostic software, but it’s a lightweight, simple way to stay in the loop. No complicated settings, no subscriptions – just install it and see your drive light up (figuratively, of course). If you're into optimizing your PC or just like knowing what’s going on inside your machine, this one’s worth a try.
