SCP – Containment Breach

If you're into survival horror games and love the whole SCP universe vibe, you've got to check out the Joonas Containment Breakthrough Mod. This is a fan made mod for SCP: Scrubs & SCP Cleanup that picks up right after your first trip to Site Epsilon. The creator, Joonas Regalis Rikkonen, really went all out to make this mod feel fresh but still keep that classic "vanilla" SCP flavor we all know and love.

So, what's new? Well, for starters, the containment area is now crawling with monsters and I mean, they're not just hanging around. One of them even leaves behind this gnarly "monster truck" type vehicle that you can use. But watch your step! Get too close to this thing called an "ice box," and you might trigger more chaos. The ice box can take damage, and if it breaks, you'll have to drop something into its liquid form think water, oil, or even food to deal with the fallout.

Joonas didn't stop there, though. He packed this mod with custom music, scripted dialogue, and a handy Unity button to toggle the mod on and off. I tried using the Unity button in the original SCP games, but it kept throwing errors, so I ended up tweaking the files to use the "Play" button instead. Just a heads up: since all the SCP files are archived, you'll need to replace them with Joonas Regalis Rikkonen's .ini file. Skip this step, and the game won't even load!

Now, if you're hunting for a free survival horror game centered around the containment breach theme, you basically have two options. There's the official Orbus Plus version, which you can grab from my website, or there's this fan made gem by Joonas. Personally, I think his version is the best out there the artwork is slick, the sound design pulls you right in, and the scripting for the containment protocols is top notch. Plus, all of Joonas' other creations are free to play, so if you dig this one, you'll definitely want to explore his other stuff. Give it a shot you won't be disappointed!
