Postal 2

Remembering my first dive into computer gaming, Postal 2 stands out vividly. For those who've played it, you know it's more than just a game it's a piece of Windows era nostalgia that still holds up today. Even with Microsoft's own lineup of titles over the years, Postal 2 has managed to keep a loyal fanbase hooked.

Now, there's talk of a new title from the developers: Gopostal. While it’s being seen as a potential follow up to Postal 2, it hasn’t really broken through beyond gaming forums and niche sites. From what we know so far, it doesn’t look like it’ll mirror the original’s vibe, but hey fans are still crossing their fingers for something that captures that classic feel. One thing’s for sure: Gopostal isn’t stepping into the ring against something like Postal 3: Antypathy, which already carved out its own space.

Speaking of Postal 3, it might not be a total upgrade from its predecessor, but it’s got its own charm. The workshop feature is a game changer, letting players craft custom scenarios and challenges that keep the experience fresh. Sure, a lot of the additions are refinements rather than revolutions, but that doesn’t make it any less fun. I’m personally excited to jump into those player made missions and see what new surprises are waiting.
