Get ready for some chaotic, fast paced fun with PlasmaBlast 1.0.0 BETA, a brand new multiplayer shooter that's just hit the scene. Created by developer Max Maiden, this Windows game throws you right into the action, even though it's still a work in progress. The core idea is simple but awesome: it's a classic boss battle, but with a twist. One lucky (or unlucky) player gets to control a powerful mech, acting as the final boss, while everyone else bands together as a team of heroes to try and take it down.

Right now, you can pick from two unique characters to play as, with the promise of more fighters and probably even more mechs coming down the pipeline. The developer is committed to keeping things fresh, aiming to roll out updates at least every couple of weeks to squash bugs, add content, and polish the experience.

Jumping in is straightforward. You'll use the standard WASD keys to move around, with SHIFT+W for a quick sprint and C to crouch. Combat is point and click: right click to aim down sights and left click to unleash your plasma fire. Just remember to hit R to reload! Being an early beta, the game has its quirks like sometimes walking straight off the edge of the map. If that happens, no worries; just hit the TAB key to respawn back in the fight. A super important tip for new players: don't forget to actually choose your character in the lobby before the match starts. If you skip this, you won't spawn into the game world, and you might find yourself needing to force close the game with ALT+F4.
