The story pulls you into a world on the edge, where a tribe of apes and a group of human survivors are caught in a struggle for power, trust, and survival. You get to play from both perspectives, which is pretty rare and totally changes how you see the conflict. It’s all about understanding what drives each side their fears, their hopes, and what they’re willing to do to protect their own.

One of the coolest things about this game is how it brings people together. You can play locally with up to four players, making it a great couch co op experience though if you’re flying solo, you can use a controller or even a keyboard. The story unfolds across roughly 14 hours of gameplay, and with a whopping 19 possible endings, no two playthroughs are the same. Your decisions shape everything, pushing the story toward either a fragile peace or an all out war. And after each chapter, you can look back at your relationships and choices, which really makes you reflect on the kind of leader or survivor you want to be. It’s emotional, intense, and seriously immersive.
