New Tab Page

Want to make your Internet Explorer 8 new tab page truly yours? While getting a new tab is straightforward, transforming it into a personalized dashboard showing your favorite websites, recent articles, or family photos takes a bit more work but it's absolutely worth it!

First things first you'll need to access the personalization settings. Right click on your start menu and select "Properties" to get started. Once you're in, look for that little gear icon in the new tab page that's your gateway to all the customization options Internet Explorer 8 has to offer. You'll find several pre made designs to choose from, so feel free to experiment until you find one that clicks with your style.

If the default layouts don't quite hit the mark, you can dive deeper into customization. At the bottom of the Personalization page, you'll spot the "Schemes" link this is where the real magic happens. Here you can pick and choose different website components to add to your new tab page, kind of like building your own digital bulletin board.

Two of the easiest ways to make your mark are changing colors and styles. Want a different background color? Just highlight the tab and hit the color button instant transformation! If the standard buttons aren't your thing, click "Styles" to browse through different button designs. You can even tweak font styles, sizes, and text alignment to make everything look just right. It's amazing how these small changes can make Internet Explorer 8 feel much more personal and comfortable to use every day.
