Inspired by classic shooters but cranked up with movement tech, KARLSON feels like a mix of Doom and Mirror’s Edge if the main character were powered by dairy. You’ll sprint, slide, wall run, and smash your way through hordes of robotic enemies, all while your little robot buddy Billy chirps in your ear. Breaking stuff? Super satisfying, but it also triggers slow mo, so you gotta keep your momentum up. It’s chaotic, it’s silly, and honestly? It’s a blast.

When you’re not speedrunning through the story mode, there’s plenty to keep you hooked. Time trial mode is perfect for leaderboard junkies, and endless mode throws wave after wave of bots at you until you’re overwhelmed. Multiplayer’s in the mix too, though it’s still pretty barebones free for all on one map with just three weapons. Still, it’s a fun distraction, especially with friends.
