You step into the boots of a powerful space soldier, battling through nine intense and challenging levels. The action is non stop as you face off against hordes of aggressive robots, strange attacking plants, and a variety of deadly environmental traps. One of the coolest features is your weapon's flexibility you aren't limited to just shooting straight ahead. You can aim horizontally to clear a path and also shoot directly upwards to take out enemies lurking above, which adds a great strategic layer to the run and gun gameplay.

The developers really nailed the look and feel of the classic. The graphics and sound design are a loving recreation of that classic 16 bit era, packed with vibrant colors and catchy chiptune music. You'll also find a ton of useful power ups scattered throughout the levels to help you in your mission.

It's worth noting that Hurrican is very much a recreation rather than a full blown remake. While it perfectly captures the spirit of the original, don't expect a lot of new content or major modern improvements in this PC version. But if you're looking for an authentic, action packed trip down memory lane, Hurrican delivers a solid and highly enjoyable experience that will thrill fans of the original series.
