The goal is simple: find clues and get out alive without letting this giant purple monster catch you. Yeah, it sounds straightforward, but trust me, it’s way creepier than it sounds. The monster slowly creeps across the screen, and even though hiding behind a tree to scare it away doesn’t totally make sense, who cares? It’s fun, and sometimes horror games are allowed to be a little weird.

What I really liked was that there are multiple endings. I spent way too much time trying to get the middle ending it was the longest and felt the most satisfying. There were moments I had no clue what to do next, but other times everything just clicked, and I felt like a horror game pro. Plus, you’re basically exploring this spooky house to earn in game money, which adds a cool layer to the gameplay.

The game was developed by Paulina Pabis, who also worked on Dead Reckoning. She knows how to make a game that gets under your skin. If you’re into horror that actually makes you jump, Eyes is a winner. But hey, if you prefer your horror games to be all pretty and polished, this might not be for you and that’s totally okay. But let’s be real, sometimes the scariest games are the ones that aren’t afraid to be a little rough around the edges.

The story follows a girl named Violet who gets stuck in this creepy house after a night out with her friend. When morning comes, her friend is gone, and she has to figure out what happened. Turns out, her friend got bitten by a vampire and needs help fast. Meanwhile, Paulina (yeah, the developer has a role in the story too) gets involved because of her interest in anatomy, and she ends up facing the same vampire. It’s a race against time to save her friend and survive the night.

All in all, Eyes The Horror Game is a solid pick if you want something tense, a bit confusing at times, but totally engaging. Just don’t play it alone in the dark unless you’re into that kind of thing.
