EA Download Manager

If you've ever wanted to get your hands on the latest EA games without leaving your house, the EA Download Manager was your go to tool. Before it became known as the EA Download Manager, it went by names like EA Link or EA Downloader but no matter what you called it, the idea was the same: a simple, centralized hub for grabbing games, expansions, and other digital goodies straight from Electronic Arts.

Getting started was a breeze. The application itself was lightweight, so you could download and install it quickly often in just a few minutes. Once it was up and running, you could browse, purchase, and manage your entire EA library all in one place. It made keeping your games updated and organized surprisingly easy.

Eventually, though, EA decided to level up. The EA Download Manager was phased out and replaced by Origin, which offered more features, better social integration, and a fresher look. So while the Download Manager had its moment, these days, Origin (and more recently, the EA App) is where players go to get their fix.
