EA SPORTS FC (FIFA 24)

Get ready, football fans – EA SPORTS FC 24 is here, and it’s kicking off a brand new era in virtual football. Yep, you heard that right: it’s not called FIFA anymore. After two decades, EA Sports and FIFA have gone their separate ways, but that doesn’t mean the fun stops. In fact, this might be the most exciting entry yet, especially if you're playing on PC.

So what’s the big deal this year? Let’s start with HyperMotionV. This isn’t just some minor upgrade – it’s a game changer. Using motion capture tech from real matches (yes, they even tracked players' hand movements with sensor gloves!), the animations are ridiculously lifelike. Players don’t just run – they sprint, stumble, change direction, and celebrate with an authenticity that’ll make you do a double take. And with AcceleRATE 2.0, each player’s running style actually matters. Faster players feel faster, stronger players hold off challenges better – it’s all in the details.

Then there’s PlayStyles. This feature uses real world stats and AI to make sure Haaland plays like Haaland, and Messi moves like Messi. It’s not just about ratings anymore – it’s about personality on the pitch. And for the absolute superstars, there’s PlayStyles+, which takes those traits to an even higher level.

Ultimate Team lovers, you’re in for a treat too. Introducing Evolutions – a way to upgrade your favorite players over time, making them even more special. Oh, and history is made this year: for the first time, you can mix men and women players in the same Ultimate Team. Icon and Hero cards now include legendary female footballers like Mia Hamm and Sam Kerr. It’s a welcome and long overdue addition.

Now, about that name change. Why EA SPORTS FC and not FIFA? Long story short, EA and FIFA couldn’t agree on renewal terms after 20 years together. So instead of sticking with the old name, EA decided to launch its own identity. Same great gameplay, new branding – and honestly, it hasn’t slowed them down one bit.

Wondering how to play? EA SPORTS FC 24 is available on EA Play, but you’ll need the Pro subscription to get full access. The standard tier only lets you play last year’s game (FIFA 23), so if you want to jump into the latest version anytime, Pro is the way to go.

As for system requirements – this game looks incredible, so you’ll want a decent rig to enjoy it properly. It’s not the most demanding title out there, but to experience those slick HyperMotionV animations and crisp visuals, you’ll need something a bit above average. Here’s what EA recommends:
