As an arcade racer, Asphalt 8 delivers an over the top visual experience that feels almost unreal. Well, Need for Speed has always been a heavyweight in the racing genre, especially titles like Most Wanted and the more recent Heat, which offer a grittier, more simulation style experience. But if you prefer something more fast paced and visually explosive, Asphalt 8 holds its own. It’s a clear step up from Asphalt 7, with fewer bugs and better performance, though it doesn’t differ drastically from its successor, Asphalt 9: Legends, which focused more on customization and visual upgrades.

All in all, Asphalt 8: Airborne is a solid arcade racer that stands out in a crowded field. The freemium mechanics might test your patience at times, but the incredible graphics, smooth handling, and sheer fun factor make it well worth a download.
